Toronto is the most populous and the largest city of Canada with metropolitan area population of close to six million (near 20% of total population of Canada!). It is located at the southern part of Ontario in the area called golden horseshoe. Toronto is famous for its amazing multicultural atmosphere and its beautiful downtown. It is the capital city of Ontario, which is the most famous and populated province of Canada. After Mexico City, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, Toronto is the most populous city of north America.

Toronto Taste of Danforth Festival
It is a yearly three days festival in Danforth street, beside the Toronto Greek town. While from the name it appears that this festival focuses on meals and foods, actually several other fun activities happen beside tasting different meals.
Halloween Party at Church Street
In Toronto lots of fun activities are going on during Halloween night as well as the weekends before Halloween. One of the best events on Halloween night in Toronto, is the festival of costumes in Church area. You can find many exciting, innovative costumes here.

Toronto Aboriginal Festival
Aboriginal festival is held every year around ends of November and firsts of December in Rogers Center in Toronto. During these typically three days festival, one can enjoy the beautiful native dances of lots of north American aboriginal groups in the ceremonies, which are called Pow Wow.

Toronto City Hall (Cavalcade of Light Festival at City Hall - New Year 2006)
This festival starts ends of November and lasts for at least a month. It includes fireworks and light show in Nathan Phillips Square, which is located in front of the new Toronto city hall and beside the old one.

Toronto City Hall (Doors Open Toronto, May 27)
During "doors open Toronto" weekend, one can access to many historical buildings and attractions, including the both old and new city halls, in free.

Toronto Winter City Festival
It is a two weeks winter celebration in Toronto during January and February. This event in 2008 included nights of fires in Nathan Phillips square by firing up lots of fires around and inside the square. .
Yorkville Icefest
While in the cold and long winter of Toronto, it is hard to do outdoor activities, it is fun to enjoy several festivals and events which are running around the city, specially Yorkville Icefest, which is happening in the late February. One of the main programs in this event is the ice carving competition, which includes the exhibition of several ice statues.
