Peterborough, Ontario

Peterborough is located 150km far north-east of Toronto. By sure this city can be considered as one of the most beautiful cities of Ontario, which has lots of historical/natural sites. Its lift lock on the Otonabee River is one of the highest boat lifts in the world, which rises 19.8 m.
Around Rice lake
This small lake is located south of Peterborough and it is part of the Trent-Severn water way.
Inside and around the city
Here, you can find some photos from the small lake at the Otonabee river, which is located at downtown Peterborough. Since the photos are taken in October, you can find lots of colorful leaves photos, which show some aspects of the very beautiful Fall season of Ontario..
Peterborough Lift Lock
One of the main attractions of Peterborough is its lift lock. By rising near 20m, it is the highest hydraulic boat lifts in the world. The construction of this lift lock was accomplished in 1904.

Inside the city
The bellow photos show some views from this amazing city. Just beside the Otonabee river, there are several beautiful statues and wonderful gardens.
Riverview zoo and park
Riverview zoo and park, which is located by the Otonabee river, is one of the main attractions of Peterborough. In this zoo one can find lots of different animals such as snakes, Otter, Kangaroos and Macaws.
