Ottawa
in winter
Most of these photos were taken by myself (Hanif)
Ottawa is by sure among the ten coldest capital cities in the world. Just a few capital cities such as Ulaan-Baatar (Mongolia) and Astana (Kazakhstan) are colder than this capital city. In these photos, you can see the frozen Ottawa river during very cold Winter times.
Canada Parliament
Like Summer times, Canada Parliament is magnificent during winter times.
Downtown Ottawa including war memorial square
National War Memorial in Confederation Square, which is very close to the Peace Tower and Parliament Hills, is a monument regarding both World War I and II.

Some of the below photos were taken beside Pont Alexandra while we were walking over the frozen Ottawa river in January, when most of the river was frozen in the temperature of less than -15 centigrade.
Highways (Highway 401 and Highway 416)
To reach Ottawa from Toronto, one typically should use highway 401 and highway 416. Highway 401 is one of the busiest highways in the word that connects Montreal in Quebec to Windsor in the southern west of Ontario and it passes from several major cities. In winter, it is typical to face fog, snow and rain when one is using these highways. Some of the below photos were taken in poor weather conditions.
