Ontario Nature Photos in Summer

Spring-Summer is the best time of year for outgoing activities and enjoying the beauty of nature. The warm weather in Ontario, starts in May and lasts till mid of October, however typically people consider the Summer until the end of August, when schools start their academic year. July and August are the warmest months in Ontario and it is the high season for almost all tourism activities.

Elora Gorge Conservation Area
Not far from Toronto ( less than 120km) and very close to Guelph and Kitchener, you can find this beautiful gorge.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is one of the most amazing and popular attractions of Canada and the world. Niagara Falls, which is shared between province of Ontario and the state of New York, is transferring water between lakes Erie and Ontario. It is just one and half hour drive from Toronto.
Guelph (River Side Park at Guelph, York Street Park, Guelph Lake, Speed River, Hanlon Creek Park)
Guelph is a small, beautiful city located just 100 km west of Toronto. Guelph is famous for its beautiful and clean environment and nature.

African Lion Safari
There are more than 1000 animals from more than 100 species in this safari park. This park is close to Hamilton and Cambridge and it is less than 100km far from Toronto.

Dundas is a town beside industrial city of Hamilton. While Hamilton suffers from its polluted air, Dundas has a beautiful nature.

Toronto & Toronto Islands
There are lots of beautiful parks inside Toronto, however I think Toronto Islands park, which is located inside lake Ontario, less than half an hour far from downtown Toronto by ferry, is among the most beautiful ones.
Toronto Zoo:
By having the size of near 290 hectares, it is one of the largest zoo in the world. It is located east of Toronto, near highway 401, and it is open every day during year, except on Christmas day.

Kingston-Thousands Island
Kingston, the first capital city of Canada, is located almost in the middle of way (highway 401) connecting Toronto and Montreal. Like Toronto, Kingston was founded beside Lake Ontario. For people of Ontario, Kingston area is famous for the chain of islands (Thousand Islands), which are located in St. Lawrence river at the border of Canada and the USA.

Owen Sound
Owen Sound, a small beautiful city along highway 6 and beside Georgian Bay, is famous for being the gateway to the Bruce Peninsula and Tobermory.

I think, it is one the most beautiful parts of Canada and the world! Georgian bay pristine fresh water and its beautiful intact islands are the main elements of this incredible nature. It is one of the best tourism destinations for swimming, diving, photographing and hiking.

It is an amazing island located just less than half an hour far from Tobermory by ferries.

Wasaga Beach
It is the most famous beach for Torontonians, however to reach there from Toronto, you need to drive for at least one and half hour.
Lake Erie & Long Point Provincial Park
Long narrow land is extended to the middle of lake Erie and because of this, a very exciting nature and atmosphere can be found in this area. Because of its unique and wonderful nature life, this park has been recognized a UNESCO biosphere reserve. It is very possible to observe different kinds of turtles and birds in this 40 km long island.
